How to Use It

List backlog items in the Item column
Include the ID from your backlog tool (Jira, Azure DevOps) so there is no ambiguity.

Score each item across the five dimensions
Do this with your product team first — arrive at the stakeholder meeting with a proposed score, not a blank sheet.

Adjust dimension weights if needed
Safety & Compliance is set highest by default. Change only if your context genuinely requires it.

Review composite scores as a group
Challenge scores with evidence, not opinion. The scorecard records every change and reason.

Sort by composite score and confirm
The ranked list becomes the agreed sprint input. Further disputes require a formal re-score.
